Men's and Women's Team Results

For each team, count total team victories. There are no tie breakers. Ties are possible.

This method is used for single gender teams as well as for determining the Sollee-Lilien Trophy winner for combined victories by a six-weapon team.

Forfeiting Teams

Do this only if a team does not show up for a scheduled meet. Forfeiting team forfeits every bout in the match (see below).

All-Star (Individual) Standings

Qualification
Fencers must compete in 2/3 of all possible bouts to be eligible. Once this threshold is met, the win/loss percentage is used. In the case of ties, indicators (touches scored – touches received) are used. Further tie breakers are undefined.

The thresholds for minimum number of bouts required are 20 bouts for men, and 24 bouts for women.

Forfeiting Individual Bouts

Forfeited bouts are scored 5-0 in favor of the fencer who does not forfeit.

If both teams are short fencers, and both sides of a bout are forfeited, then the bout is not scored at all. This may result in some cases where a team contest ends up having fewer than 27 contested bouts.

Rationale: no fencer should be disadvantaged for league standings because the opponent forfeits. Individual league standings are based on bouts, as well as percentage, so not counting a bout because of a forfeit is to the detriment of the fencer who does not forfeit.
